Hanging Gardens of Babylon

Abigail's 25 hour project took 33 hours to complete. She made a replica of one of the seven wonders of the world.

Graduation Day

What a gang we made at Thomas' graduation. We had a ball with all the family here to celebrate with us. Can you believe it we all stayed under one roof too. All I will say it was very interesting. :) just kidding, really you should have seen us working together to get the house ready for the 70 guests who came the next day to celebrate with us. The barbecue from Post and Beam was the best we had tasted. It was great having all the little ones here, we sure miss them now.

Stepping Out

My sweetheart and I loved celebrating the night with Thomas at his banquet this year.

Celebrate

It was a night to remember celebrating the end of their Senior year. Thomas had the best teachers in the whole world, Dr. and Mrs. Grant. They really helped him turn out to be an outstanding young man.

Best Buds

Thomas had at leasts two homes away from home during his last two years of school. His best friends Cahl and Josh really did a great job delivering their blessing for Thomas at the Jr./Sr. banquet.

Missing Him Already

Abigail will be going to school without her big brother Thomas this year. She was missing him already at his Jr./Sr. Banquet.

Little Ladies

This year on our son's birthday he and his second daughter and his Dad and Abigail attended the Vision Forum "Father and Daughter" retreat in Georgia. They had so much fun dressing up for the High Tea.

Remember When

It was about two years ago after visiting for about 2 weeks, we stopped by Vision Forum to say good bye to the kids. Rachel was only a couple weeks old.

July is here again and with it Grandpa and Deanna celebrate their birthday on the same day. I will never forget that night in 1993 when Perry III asked if he and Kim could spend the night with us so they could work on their truck. I cooked stir fry that night and while I was fixing supper we heard sirens screaming up the little dirt road by our house. We lived in the country then and did not get much traffic. Perry got on his brothers ten speed bike and took off to see where the ambulance was going. It turned out our closest neighbor's daughter came home from work got on her 4 wheeler and ran into a John Deere tractor and almost killed herself. The doctor said if she was not wearing a helmet she would be dead. The life flight helicopter took her to Columbus, Oh and she did recover. Meanwhile Perry came home filled us in on the accident and we had dinner. Perry and Kim worked on their brakes of their truck and took it out for a spin to see if it was fixed. Dad and I went to bed and around midnight Perry woke me up and said they had to go home because Kim was in labor. They had called the midwife and she was meeting them at their house. I fell back asleep thinking "the baby was going to be born on my husband's 40th birthday." What a present he got that year!

Grandma Is Happy

It was so nice to have everyone here to celebrate with us. Byson is right at home especially since Grandma gets to keep him during the week when his mom is at the preschool.

Baby Byson is Sooo Cute!

Connor is one of our preschool students and Byson's mom lived with his family briefly before he was born. Connor has two brothers one is only 8 months older than Byson. Whenever he sees Byson he always says "Baby Byson is sooo cute", then he quickly adds and so is baby Benjamin.

Look Byson

We have to admit having one grandson in the area is so much fun. Byson is getting to know Grandpa especially when he tries to touch his plants around the fireplace. One day he was reaching for the dvd's on the TV stand when Grandpa said "NO Byson" he took one look at Grandpa and melted into a puddle of tears, but since his mom has been working with him to not touch some things he stopped and turned around and went the other way.

Oops!

It has been years since we have had babies in the house. Byson and Perry IV found a stash of toys that Grandma found for them to play with. They had so much fun communicating with each other and taking toys from each other too.

Moments

The same day Thomas left for London, Benjamin and Aunt Yvonne left for Texas. Kaitlyn, Megan, and Abigail were there to see them off.

Smile!

It was a bright sunny day when Benjamin got ready to leave for Texas. It has continued to be bright sunny days and it has only rained brief showers in the afternoon for about 2 weeks this whole summer. We have been in drought conditions for over a month now.

Surprise!

The sweet teachers at our Preschools recently surprised us by having one of my dad's first dollies he crocheted mounted and framed. We first had it done in Ohio but with our many moves the glass broke. They found out it still needed framing so they did this as a Thank You for the past school year. We are so blest to have such a good and caring staff of teachers.
Miss Young is on the phone to our assistant director Julie Jones who was recovering from surgery to make the presentation. (it was Julie's idea to do this)

My Kids

Now doesn't this look natural? It would be so nice if Benjamin would make the switch and move to Nashville. It was great having most of the family here for Thomas' graduation this past May.
